# Our DNA — SA Mundus / Wols CA

### Who we are, how we work, how we deliver

**Who we are.** A small, specialised security-architecture practice built on more than thirty years of protecting sensitive and secret assets, physical and digital, in energy, industry and government. Years as a flying doctor for business-critical processes set the habit: restore and secure operation first, then bring it into line with the standards — which usually lowers total cost of ownership. Neither a product vendor that wants your stack nor an integrator that wants your implementation.

**Half-products, not complete solutions.** You already have standards: hypervisor, identity provider, SIEM, chassis, crypto library, processes. A complete solution brings its own choices for the same elements; wherever they differ you own one more product: more procurement, support and supplier dependency, a worse fit, duplicate and therefore inconsistent results. So we build only the hard, specialised part, leave every such element open with qualification criteria, and complete it with your standards. It fits faster and cheaper; each element migrates on your timetable.

**You implement; we advise and verify.** Inside your organisation an outsider stays the odd one out; your people integrate, roll out and support a building block better than we can. We hand over the complete source code upfront, no escrow: knowledge stays where the system runs and continuity never depends on us.

**Simplicity and supportability.** The simplest solution that meets the requirement, supportable by your existing staff and tools. Administration is small and event-driven: every change is processed at once, so no authorisation decision rests on stale data.

**One accountable point of contact.** Accountability for a fact lies with the party best placed to guarantee it, and you deal with exactly one such party. It may rely on others, transparently; several organisations are never pulled into one decision.

**Security in the DNA.** Goal Zero, no incidents, is a principle, not a target. We layer on established standards, treat vendor lock-in as a design failure, keep workloads and data in volatile memory only, and build on a public mechanism with the key as the only secret. In practice: block bulk copying (days), isolate sensitive data (weeks), then simplify.

**Where we stand.** Wols CA is our current name. **SA Mundus** (Security Authority Mundus), a Dutch B.V., is planned to be in place by January 2027 as the successor of Wols CA; a French entity is planned to follow, so that we would have two legal homes in the European Union once both are in place. The role does not change: we design and verify the security architecture and hold no data, funds or operational role.
